Graphology, or handwriting analysis, claims that personality characteristics such as introversion and extraversion can be inferred from the form and structure of letters, words, and sentences (introverts, for example, are said to write in smaller letters, extraverts in larger letters). Shermer puts graphology to the experimental test, showing that if you do not already know the personality characteristic you are looking for in the handwriting, graphology is no better than chance….

How about people like me who suffer from dyslexia? My handwriting has changed over the years considerably and will continue to do so since I have dyslexia. It is hardly fair to infer anything personality-wise based on such a disorder that is not at all connected with such issues.
How sad that pseudoscience like this actually makes it past supposedly smart people. Far worse is that it affects real careers.

or you could be generalizing what she said, it sounded to me that she meant HE has a lot of energy, not everyone has a lot of energy, so if you don’t have a lot of energy then it wouldn’t make much sense the statement, and so it’s not true for everyone.
obviously if you have a lot of energy and you didn’t put it towards positive things, it would be bad. but she’s pointing out that HE has a lot of energy. and that’s obvious.
Michael Shermer is such an idiot, he always tries to make people look bad, by saying things that don’t make sense, and expect people to “buy it” she noticed the person that wrote it was a con artist/manipulative, and that shows up VERY easily when you listen to how he speaks, he tries to make people think how he thinks, even if it’s stupid. It doesn’t matter if someone WANTS to be very communicative, it’s shows how someone IS, clearly Michael is, and so it showed up that he was.

When I was in junior high, one day the principal and the school psychologist came into the classroom, and announced who would be class President and Vicepresident, just like that. Later I learned this was what the shrink used to decide.
One of the kids who got picked was very shy and had no leadership skills, and the other never participated in anything. Too bad I didn’t know back then what was going on.

I didn’t say it couldn’t, but losing one doesn’t mean you *have* to lose the other. You can lose ONLY the ability to write, or ONLY have a personality change. This means the parts are not linked. i.e. Graphology is bullshit.
